For more than three decades I have worked at the intersection of sacred learning, leadership, creativity, and community. Whether consulting with organizations, teaching, writing books, or making music, my work is grounded in a single conviction:

Dr. Stephen Daniel Arnoff is a writer, teacher, musician, and strategic advisor whose work explores belonging, meaning, sacred tradition, popular culture, and the communities we build together.

For more than three decades, Stephen has worked at the intersection of Jewish life, culture, education, and organizational leadership. He served for ten years as CEO of the Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center and has held senior leadership roles at the JCC Association, the 14th Street Y, and other Jewish and cultural institutions. He has created and led initiatives bringing together artists, educators, spiritual leaders, and communities in Israel and North America.

Stephen is the author of About Man and God and Law: The Spiritual Wisdom of Bob Dylan and the forthcoming I Can’t Find My Way Home: A Book of Belonging. His essays and criticism have appeared in the Times of Israel, JTA, The Forward, HuffPost, and other publications. He teaches and performs widely on music, Jewish thought, belonging, leadership, and the search for meaning.

Stephen earned his doctorate in Midrash and Scriptural Interpretation from the Jewish Theological Seminary. He has been a Wexner Graduate Fellow, Mandel Jerusalem Fellow, Revson Fellow, and Tikvah Scholar at NYU. He lives in Jerusalem.
